MODEL VILLAGES?

The Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana
(SAGY)
SAGY was launched by the Indian government in 2014 to develop model villages with various social, economic and environmental eminities.
Under which every MP(sansad) would pick or choose every year a new village to develop it as a model village in their parliamentary constituency by utilizing existing MPLAD( member of parliament local area development) fund provided for five year for local area development.
It every Mp every year will have to transform a village into a model resulting in 5 villages will become model villages in 5year.
Note
  • Every year each MP is availed 5crore rupees under MPLAD SCHEME 
  • MPs are free for discrete use on public project any where in their constituencies. 
Under the program a various types of project can be sanctioned for a model village.
For example,
    • Road construction 
    • School development 
    • Skill development 
    • Hand pump establishment 
    • Pond cleaning 
    • Plantation 
    • Gram park 
    • Hospital etc.
