Zika virus
Zika virus disease is caused by a virus transmitted primarily by Aedes Mosquitoes and Albopictus Mosquitoes, which bite during the day.
Zika is Mosquitoes borne virus that spread through the bite of an infected Aedes species of Mosquitoes named Aedes Aegypti and Albopictus Mosquitoes by a virus called Zika.
Zika virus is caused by the Same Mosquito that causes Dengue.
According to the WHO the Aedes Mosquitoes usually bite during the day, peaking during early morning and late afternoon or evening.
What is mean by Mosquitoes borne virus?
Borne means carried by or moved by a particular thing such as airborne diseases in which diseases is carried by one place to another place by the wind and Water borne diseases where water carries diseases from one to another which act as medium of transmission.
Similarly, in case of Zika virus is carried by Mosquitoes that already affected by this virus and when bite to human it transmitted to the Human body.
Zika virus belongs to the family of Dengue and Chikungunya.
Symptoms
- Mild fever
- Rash
- Conjunctivitis
- Muscle and joint pain
- Malaise or headache
- Zika virus is known to affect the baby's head in the womb
- Microcephaly us a birth defect in which the growth of the baby's head is affected. Zika virus given birth with signs of congenital zika syndrome, which causes issues with development and vision.
- GB syndrome is an uncommon illness of a nervous system in which a Person's own immune system damages the nerve cells, causing muscle weakness and sometimes it leads to paralysis.
