Arsenic testing kit

This newly developed device by the Department of biotechnology is able to detect arsenic content in water and food item in one stage.
Features:
  • Easy-to-use  a common man can use. 
  • It is highly sensitive and selective.
  • Ultra sensitive. 
  • colour correlation with standard labels. 
  • Developed on mixed metal ( cobalt /molybdenum) based  metal organic frameworks.
  • It can detect a wide range- from  0.05ppb to 1000 ppm. 
 
It can be tested in 3 modes:
  1. Spectroscopic measurement
  2. Color intensity measurement with the help of colorimeter or mobile application 
  3. With  naked eye.
The colour of metal organic framework changes with arsenic.  The intensity of blue color increases with the increase of arsenic concentration.
