BINSAR WILDLIFE SANCTUARY
Location- almora district (Uttarakhand)
Areas- 4,706 hectares
Formation- It was established in 1988 with an aim to protect its shrinking flora and fauna.
Flora: The sanctuary has 25 kinds of trees and 31 types of bushes and grass. It has very dense lush green forest, biodiversity and atmosphere.
Fauna: leopard, Himalaya goral, chital, musk deer, wild boar, Jungle cat are found in the forest.
Avian: The sanctuary hosts over 200 species of birds and is famous for bird watching. For examples, forktail, moral, pheasant, woodpecker, magpies, parakeets, and black birds among others.
