It was a journal proposed by the Sjt.Madanjit and approved by the MAHATMA GANDHI to start at Durban in South Africa.
- It was launched in 1904.
- Sjt.Mansukhlal Naazar became the first editor of this journal.
- The second editor became Gandhi ji after Mansukhlal when not carried it on.
- This journal was published in languages of Gujarati, Hindi, Tamil and English.
- It became weekly published.
- This shaped the ideas of Satyagrah in South Africa and spread greatly and served betterly.
- In the first month of Indian opinion, Gandhi ji realized the sole aim of journal to be service.
- It was being published during prison of Gandhi ji after the Satyagrah in 1914 even after 10 years of publishing started in 1904 in South Africa.
- According to the Gandhi ji, "Satyagrah would have been impossible without Indian opinion".
