What is Single Window Clearance system?
A single window clearance is a common online application portal ( Online platform) where all types of approval are given by various ministries and department by a single click for various development projects for easing the doing business in India to improve the Ease of Doing Business environment by providing, no-objection certificate(NOC), permission, licenses and environmental clearances etc for projects installation within the territory of India .
Aims:
- To enhance electronic Governance system.
- To enable an online one stop shop for providing hassle free licensing clearances for projects
- It aimed to provide a single interface to importers and exporters for various custom clearance.
- It aimed to promote trade.
- It is aimed to create paperless environment.
- Its aim is to lower the dwell time for custom clearance.
- Its aim is to promote electronic system of filing and payment to facilitate traders both importers and exporters.
- To reduce delay and improve efficiency in processing various applications
- To remove duplication of information in process
- To reduce time taken by various approvals
- To reduce hardships of getting clearances
- To provide an automated workflow in accordance with the citizen charter of the respective department
- To ease doing business in Indian soils
- To attract foreign investors
- To make getting approval fast, seamless and within set time limit framework
- To join all approval giving body at a single place
- To shift from paper to paperless online platform application system.
- End to end facilitation and support and support to investors including investment advisory, provide information related to land bank and facilitate clearances at centers and state level. The cell was proposed to operate through an online digital portal.
- Consequently, a national single window system online portal was launched on 22nd September 2021,by commerce and industry ministry.
