It is a disease that affects brain and throughout brain develops black spots in brain, that leads to shrinkage of mind.

- In Alzheimer's disease ,tau and another protein called Amyloid- beta built-up into tangle and plaques- known together as aggregates- that causes brain cells to die and lead to brain shrinkage.
- Aggregates form in one region then spread throughout the brain, much like how cancer spread.
- Alzheimer progression was mainly caused by cluster spreading between different brain regions in a chain reaction.
- Tau is one of the two key protein that implicated in the condition.
Impacts
- Alzheimer in turn results in memory loss, personality changes and inability to carryout daily functions.
