India has taken both hard and soft approaches to fight climate change 

Hard approch:

  • Renewable energy has increased by 250%in 7year. Today India is among the top 5 country of the world in terms of installed renewable energy  capacity. Specially solar energy has increased 15% since 2014.
  • Clean and efficient energy system
Soft approach: 

  • India's drive to phase single use out plastic 
  • Beach cleaning 
  • Swachh bharat abhiyan 
  • Free gas connection under ujjwala scheme 
  • Electricity connection under suabhagya scheme. 
  • Resilient Urban infrastructure 
  • Eco restoration 
Holistic approch:

  • National clean air programme 
  • Waterway and Multimodal connectivity programme under green transport 
  • Solar power facility at station. 
  • LEDs at ports
