CONSUMER PRICE INDEX FOR INDUSTRIAL WORKERS

Topic- inflation ( prelims) The labour bureau an attached office of ministry of labour and employment has been compiling consumer price index for industrial workers every month on the basis of retail prices collected from 317 markets spread over 88 industrially important centers in the country.  The index is comiled for 88 centres and all India and is released on the last working day of succeeding month.  It comprises various groups: Food beverages  Pan, supari, tobacco, intoxicant  Clothing and footwear  Housing  Fuel & light Miscellaneous  General inflation for July 2021, went down to 5.27% compared to 5.57% of previous month  Food inflation also decreased  from previous month from 5.61% to 4.91%. 

THE CHILDREN'S CLIMATE RISK INDEX

Smart village project

  WHAT ARE WETLANDS?  World Wetlands Day on the 2nd of  February  recognised by united nations general assembly.  THE CONVENTION ON WETLANDS Adopted in Ramsar, Iran in 1971, the Convention on Wetlands is the only global treaty to focus on a single ecosystem. Wildlife threats

Indian Pangolins : are found in gautam buddha Nagar Uttar Pradesh which is protected under the Wildlife protection act 1972 in schedule 1. Pangolins are among the most trafficked animal. Ants being its primary prey, the tongue of a pangolin is longer than its body to help it catch as many as 20,000 ants per day. The species is threatened due toits scale made of keratin-- much like human nails. e-RUPI

The Purpose behind is to make India a cashless, digital economy by promoting cashless transactions.  Features : It is a QR Code or SMS based e-Voucher which is delivered to the mobile of the beneficiaries  It is an electronic pre-paid voucher (e-RUPI). An organization or individual can help someone by giving eRupi instead of cash. Voucher is authorized via a verification code-hence  easy and secure. It has two step redemption process. Voucher redemption can be tracked by issuer.
